Starting Another Blog

I have decided to start another blog. In order to keep from boring all the non-diabetics that read here, I'm going to keep it all in another place.

I have been baking since I was 16 years old and I enjoy cooking, in general. When Mr Sunshine and I were diagnosed with diabetes this summer, he embraced the challenge with a whole lot of enthusiasm. Since June, he has cooked more meals than I have. We're eating pretty well here in our little tree house in the Sunshine State.

Me, on the other hand.....depressed.  No cookies, cakes, brownies or homemade bread. No Peanut Crack&M's. No Holiday treats. I finally got desperate enough to start looking at recipes that I could adapt to sugar-free or low-sugar versions.

Some have been pretty bad. Some have been merely edible. I'm striving for AMAZING!
My new blog will mostly feature my successes. Since Mr Sunshine is on this journey with me, he'll be contributing to the new blog. Sorority Girl is taste testing and contributing to the decisions on whether the results of our cooking are good enough to serve the non-diabetics in the house.

The new blog is Desperate Diabetic Cooks.

I'm passing this along to friends who'd find that helpful!

What a great idea! My ex-future-son-in-law wears an insulin pump and I'm always looking for things to cook for him when he visits. Now I'll know where to come.
