Four Feelings Friday

THANKFUL
First of all, to my husband. I had my first serious back injury in a car accident, 3 months after we got married. Over the years, my discs have degenerated. Sometimes I land in bed for 5 days, sometimes 5 weeks.

This past week and a half, I spent 5 days in bed, then I've worked every day since. On top of working very long hours, he has cleaned the house, done laundry, fixed my broken vacuum and cooked meals for me. THANK YOU, HONEY.

THANK YOU to all the blog peeps who wished my daughter a happy birthday and wished me a speedy recovery.

ANXIOUS
I'm not sleeping well because I just can't get comfortable. It's kicking my anxiety up a little. I was a little weepy this morning, for no reason at all.

RELIEVED
My Mom moved this week. It was only to a new place on the next street over from her old place. I felt guilty about not being there to help. Mom really didn't want me to help because she lives 4 hours away and I wouldn't be able to drive with my bad back.

Everything went really well. She had lots of friends and extended family help and she was excited to wake up in her new home the next day. We'll all be even more relieved when she is able to sell the old place.

IMPRESSED
David Ashby is a local 14 year old. He will spend his summer vacation walking from Orlando to Washington DC to call attention to homeless kids. I'm going to keep track of his trip this summer. I think he's an amazing kid.

This is the article that was in the Orlando Sentinel this week.

I am so sorry to hear you are laid up - ouch! Sounds painful!

Having played the helpmate spouse to ailing back spouse for 28 years, I can tell you - you have a good man!!

On the cape, at Sparrow and it is sunny, windy and 47 freaking degrees!!

I'm so pleased to hear that your mom is settling in all right!
And a great spouse for you--that is a blessing indeed.
