More Scattered Brain Droppings

Found a few more scattered brain droppings under the bird feeder.

I did the math, yo.
When I buy 2.5 pounds of Dunkin Donuts coffee at Costco
 + 1000 yellow packets of sweetener at Costco
+ 100 coffee filters at the dollar store
+ we make a pot at home every morning

=14.8 cents per cup for the win!

A disgruntled patient with a gun killed a beloved transplant surgeon in the parking garage of the local hospital the other night. The doctor was 41 and has 4 kids.

A local guy (with a permit)went into the local rib place the other night with a loaded gun in his pocket. The gun went off and shot a woman in the leg. I didn't realize the rib place had gotten so scary that you need to take a loaded weapon with you.

But we all know the crazies have a right to their loaded concealed weapons.
NOTE: I didn't mean to insult everyone with a gun permit. I am just afraid of the nut cases out there that endanger me or my family. More views in the comments~LMSS

Sugar-free Fudgsicles. 20 for $4.69. Buy 1 box/ Get 1 free. There are now 40 Sugar-free Fudgsicles in my freezer. Take one down, pass it around, 39 Sugar-free Fudgsicles in my freezer.

I spent the evening building crappe Tarjay shelves for my walk-in closet. Of course, one of them came out of the box with a big chunk missing....back to Tarjay for an exchange.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm building crappe Tarjay shelves because I am reorganizing my closet. I also got rid of all the clothes that are more than 1 size too big. I sent 2 huge bags to the dumpster and 2 huge bags to Goodwill.
So You Think You Can Dance.....YESSSSSSSSS!
I want to read Tina Fey's book Bossypants. So do a lot of other people. I'm on a waiting list at the library.
The Space Shuttle is flying into Cape Canaveral at 2:35am. We will probably hear the sonic boom as it passes over Central Florida.
I accidentally happened upon your blog some time ago, and I like it. But I have to speak up now.
There are over 800,000 people in Florida with concealed carry permits, and you have labeled them all as "crazies."
Don't you think that's a bit of harsh stereotyping? I realize Florida has its share of nutjobs, but you're saying that 5% of the population is automatically crazy for practicing their legal right to carry a gun.
P.S. That guy really is an idiot for not controlling his weapon.
I meant to say that if you are going to allow people to carry concealed weapons into public places, such as hospitals, churches, restaurants and schools, you are taking a HUGE risk that someone is going to use that gun inappropriately and people will be injured and killed. I understand why there are reasons for requesting a permit to carry a concealed weapon.
I didn't mean to imply that EVERYONE with a concealed weapon permit is a "crazie".
I meant that I don't understand why anyone who doesn't believe they are in imminent danger needs to have a loaded gun on them...who is in danger at Smokey Bones or Church?
I meant that "RIGHT TO CARRY A CONCEALED WEAPON" can be used as an excuse by people who are not necessarily mentally stable. I'm tired people who are in favor of guns rights sticking up for people who have guns for the WRONG REASONS.Just because yu have the RIGHT to do something, doesn't mean you SHOULD do it.
I love two things right now: 1) that you're organizing your closet and 2) that you have so many too-big clothes to get rid of. Yay you!
And I am totally anti-gun, but that's all I'm going to say about that here.
OK, well it sounds to me like you're not completely against guns and carry permits. If I understand you correctly, your biggest issue seems to be that the process to qualify for a permit is not rigorous enough.
Knowing the Florida carry license process as I do, I have to agree with you. It's WAY too easy to get one. I believe improved background checks, gun training and periodic testing should be required to have and keep a permit.
And I promise you, we're not all crazy. :-)
In fact, I bet if you polled your friends (and maybe even your family), you might be surprised at the number of people you know that have permits.
Ooo! The sonic boom in the middle of the night would scare the crap out of me - even if I knew it was coming.
I love your "take one down, pass it around, 39 fudgsicles in my freezer." That made me laugh out loud.
I will chime in that, while I don't think all people with guns are crazy, there is, in fact, some lack of logic to thinking that it's necessary to have a gun on one's person at all times. I mean, this isn't DEADWOOD. And, trust me, I come from a long line of Western vigilante types and modern-day hunters.
Anyhow, BOSSYPANTS is not a great book, but it's hella fun. It's loosely constructed, but it made both me and my husband laugh out loud, and that's saying something. The only thing that could make Tina Fey more charming would be if she carried a gun into Costco with her.
With a Republican majority, the NRA will pass a concealed carry law soon in our state--we're one of two without one and I feel safer now than I will in a few months. There is NO NEED for more guns. I'm with you 100%
On the Fudgcicle issue, too.
I have refused and will continue to refuse to calculate the cost of my caffeine addiction. I figure what I have saved in eating dinners out and by making my own lunch amount every day, qualifies me to spend exorbitantly on caffeine. That said, I discovered a drip coffee locally that is DA BOMB and my cappuccino habit is almost gone.
And I agree about the crazies. Why does one need a concealed weapon in a restaurant?
