Four Feelings Friday

Is it Friday already? This week flew by. I am....

CREEPED OUT-by creepy Arnold and his creepy treatment of his wife and kids. Yes, I'm judging and I don't even feel guilty about it.

CONFUSED- by my new camera. Mr Sunshine State got me a Nikon Coolpix for Mother's Day. I dropped my old camera, lens side down, with the zoom lens completely open. It was going to cost a small fortune to get it fixed. I have RTFM but still don't have a clear understanding of all the settings. So far 9 out of every 10 pictures are blurry. I'm not giving up...I'm going to RTFM again and keep practicing.

RELIEVED-Mom is 7 weeks out of back surgery and she seems to have turned a corner in her recovery. She has been cleared to drive, all the post-op infections have healed, she is progressing in physical therapy and she sounds better than she has in over a year.

TIRED- Back in December I quit all the heavy duty Fibromyalgia drugs I was on. They were super $$$$ and I spent all my days feeling like I was walking through quicksand. I slept deeply on the meds, but it was more like being comatose and my head was foggy all day. Now I feel more alert and energetic during the day but I can't seem to string together 2 nights of restful sleep.

Most nights, from midnight to 4am I wake up every 20-30 minutes. From 4am to 9am, I sleep like a rock, but by the time I read the paper and eat breakfast and make the bed and get dressed, it is 11am and I feel like half the day has been shot to hell. The doctor's office is playing around with other meds. I wish I could take a couple of Tylenol PM, but with all my arthritis meds and diabetes meds, it is not a good idea to take Tylenol or Ibuprofen and I am allergic to Excedrin. At least I am non-employed and can take a nap every afternoon!

Not that I'm saying you should do this or anything, because I'm not a doctor and whatnot, but the "PM" ingredient in Tylenol PM is just generic Benadryl (diphenhydramine), which you can buy SUPER cheap at Sam's and Walmart and places like that. I take one every single night, although I don't take many other meds so I dunno what the contraindications are.

And which Nikon Coolpix did you get? I have the P100 and I loooove it but it did take me a while to figure it out!

I was thought Arnie was more than a little self involved.

LMSS, I agree wholeheartedly on the Arnold thing. I never could figure out what she saw in him.

And I will join you on the arthritis bandwagon. It's a b*tch. I limp like you read about in the morning.

Oh Little Miss Sunshine State, your health situation sounds awful. Not being able to sleep well affects EVERYTHING. I hope you find a remedy soon.

BUMMER about your health. I'm sorry. But happy about your mom healing up okay. And like you, totally creeped about Arnold. Ick.
