Today At The Beach

Today I went to the beach where Jeannie and Major Nelson lived.

Cocoa Beach is beautiful and I was way too relaxed to take the camera out of my beach bag.
The temperature was 99 degrees and my friend and I walked along the water's edge for 90 minutes. I let the sun soak away 6 weeks of high anxiety.

Today at the beach, a man stopped us and asked if we would answer two survey questions.
He was with 3 females and apparently there was a bet riding on the results of the survey.

Question #1...It's your first date with a man. Which is worse.....he belches or he passes gas?
Question #2...If you are on a date with a man, do you prefer that he is wearing underwear or not wearing underwear? (We both said we prefer a belching dude who wears underwear)

Today at the beach, I forgot to reapply SPF 29 after coming out of the ocean and I burned to a crispy crunch.

We were completely shocked at the number of parents who let very small children go into the ocean alone, where there are VERY big waves and a bit of an undercurrent.

We could not find one single Star$$$$s in the whole town of Cocoa Beach and we were craving a Shaken Passion Iced Tea Lemonade.

Today at the beach I remembered that today would have been Dad's 80th birthday.

Awww....what a nice way to celebrate a birthday. He'd approve of that. I'm SO dying to sit on a beach...by an ocean. We have lots of beaches here but they're just not the same.

There's nothing like a day at the beach - like a wee vacation, eh, Jeannie?

A soothing day at the beach is so wonderful. If it weren't so hot here, I'd love to be sitting under a big beach umbrella and watching the waves.

Glad you got some beach time and R&R in!

I feel your pain on your Dad's birthday - remember the good times - they help ease the pain....

Interesting survey. But would anyone choose a farter sans underwear? That could be dangerous.

I went to the beach this weekend too. Well, 'the beach' in Iowa is a lake, so it's not quite so impressive, but it's still water and sand. :) I was also thinking it was crazy how many parents let their kids go into the water alone. I can't even imagine that in the ocean!

Thinking of you, as you remember your dad.

That's an odd survey--but the rest sounds good. A nice getaway to soothe the soul.

Your dad would have loved they way you spent the day. You had me at Major Nelson.

Do many men go without underwear? I sometimes go au naturel when I am in a skirt that would show the lines, but in pants? Never.
