Four Feelings Friday With Awards

SAD-Over the course of the past 8 days, these things happened to people I care about. A young man's mother died unexpectedly, someone's best friend had a massive heart attack, someone was pregnant and lost the baby, someone's relationship is struggling and someone is leaving a job she likes because it is what is best for her baby.

HAPPY AND HOPEFUL- Sorority Girl had a big scholarship interview this morning. It went well. The interviewer wrote on her application "Give her as much as we can"

THANKFUL- Heather at Comparative Childhood gave me an award the other day. It was a day I really needed a friend. I'm supposed to pass it on to 8 other bloggers.

This is what the award says:

This award is given to the writers of blogs that "are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."

I chose the following bloggers to receive this award. I picked these women because they have reached out to me in blog comments or emails. They make me laugh and they make me think. Those are qualities I like in a friend. They are the women I think I would like to be friends with in real life. I hope they pass it on. If not, I still like them anyway.

Oh, I'm so touched. Thanks, LMSS! I am going to proudly post the award and will definitely pass it on to other outstanding bloggers. Of course, you already have one, so know that if you didn't, I would have included you on my list. Big kisses. Mwah!

When I first read this I thought, wait that's only three feelings. But then I realized, Happy and Hopeful. Nice.

I'll definitely check out these blogs; a friend of yours must be a good woman!

I'm sorry to hear about the Sad things. When it rains it pours, right? Hang in there...

I am really, genuinely touched by this. I think of you as a friend tho we've never met and may never will. And you are going to think I am being disingenuous, but I was busy with something that is going to come your way very soon....and I need your addy.

How's that for serendipity!!

Oh my! Thank you! I'm SO flattered--that is such a sweet award--what a lovely thing to write! And to put me in THAT company--gee. You made my day.

And many congratulations to Sorority Girl! (She deserves that!)

Thank you for the award--I'll check out your other awardees too--any friend of yours is a friend of mine.

I know the sadness you are talking about--a friend of mine died Thursday. She had cancer and we knew this was coming, but still . . .

Thank you so much for thinking of me with this award, and I gratefully accept. However, I just did this one, so I might save it for another time. But I will check out the other seven - thanks!

I'm so sorry for the friends that experienced loss this week. This week has been a tough one for many, it seems. Something in the air...

That is a lot of sad. I'm glad you had some of the happy to balance it out.
