Life In The Tin-Can Retirement Village

I just spent three days visting Mom in her tin-can in the retirement village. It's not a big tin can that could hold 2 pounds of coffee. It's more like a little tuna can.

It's the kind of tin can that can blow away in a hurricane. Or self-combust into flames when it gets hit by lightning. That's what happened to my aunt and uncle's place next door. So now they are living in my mom's tin-can while theirs is getting into liveable condition.

So, it was Mom, me, Aunt and Uncle, 1 bed, 1 sleep sofa and 1 regular sofa. And 1 bathroom that is about the size of an outhouse.
3 days makes me just a little claustrophobic. 3 days makes my neck kink up from the sofa-sleeping. 3 days with no computer makes me antsy.

We went to a concert that was really awesome. It was Tim Zimmerman and the King's Brass. You have to listen to some Gospel preaching during the show but it was a group of young, extremely talented musicians. They play hymns, classical, show tunes, marches, dixieland....a little of everything and we really enjoyed it.
