Rocktober

It's Rocktober in The Sunshine State.

The temperatures are in the low 80's, the humidity is around 40% and the sun shines every day. It Rocks.

We are in a season at work where they take all the hours of the regular salespeople and give them to the newbies, so they can train. "Hey, I have a great idea!! Let's hire 10 new people and NOT add any payroll hours!!" That's a big Rock-Not.

I have a LOT of time on my hands. Yesterday I took a walk and then I whipped out the fall decor.

Fall Tableau by the front door. Lantern from PB. Candle from PB.
Fall tableau on the coffee table. The pumpkin is a candle. PB. I never light it, just save it from year to year. The acorns? Also PB Fake-O.

Fall Tableau on the kitchen counter. PB? Nope. Christmas Tree Shop (Don't you just love a bargain?)

The worst part of Rocktober? The political ads on TV. This is what the Governor's race sounds like in Florida...
"You're a crook"
"NO! YOU'RE a crook"
"You're a liar!!"
"NO! YOU'RE a liar"
"You fired 3,000 people"
"HA!! You fired 3,001 people!!"
"You're a LIBERAL!!!!"
"You're a CONSERVATIVE!!!!"
No one is talking about the abysmal state of unemployment and the public school system.
I'm getting carpal tunnel syndrome from slamming the mute button on the remote.
Happy Rocktober!

I HATE the ads, too. Ours sound the same as yours--and all are equally offensive.
Your fall display is so pretty!

Get TIVO, it allows you to fast forward through all the BS and focus on important channels like HGTV.

Hubs put a fall tablecloth on the table...that's about it for fall decor at our house this year.

I just love DVR this time of year. I hear you about the ads! Enjoy the nice weather and have fun decorating. Pretty soon I'll really be raking orange leaves.
