Pfizer Pfollow-up

BOSSY POST ON SUNDAY.

Last night, in a fit of insomnia, I got on the Pfizer website and wrote a letter to the company. I told them that the buzz in my Fibromyalgia community was that we were very disappointed with the Lyrica ad and how Fibromyalgia is portrayed. I asked them if their intent was to portray us as whiny or was it just that actress in the commercial.

I told them the ad definately downplays the severity of our pain and told them I would be available to shed further light on what would be a more realistic approach.

I received two automatic responses from Pfizer. The first acknowledged the receipt of my e-mail and the second thanked me for contacting them and said my concerns would be investigated (ooooh, they made it sound REAL).

I'm curious to see what comes of this.
And how much do I hate that their website for prescription assistance for those of us without health insurance is called Pfizer Pfriends?

(Little Miss Sunshine State just gagged herself with a Painful Pfinger)

I totally agree with the downplaying of the symptoms of FMS. It is so much more excruciating, sometimes. I have been using a generic form of Lyrica, and I really don't feel, or, see a great difference in my symptoms. Have the folks from Lyrica contacted you yet? I'm curious as to what they have to say.

Pfizer Pfriends is just an obnoxious thing to call that program.

I'm glad you emailed them about your problems with the ad. Have you thought about getting others to do the same?

Terry - Some day (which will never happen), there needs to be double-blind study comparing milnacipran, Cymbalta, Lyrica, and neurontin, to see which, if any, are better than the other.
